Meet the Author and the Artist
My life has been profoundly shaped by a family of artists since my early childhood, and my creative passion has only grown stronger. I was born and raised in the vast, beautiful prairies of Nebraska. From Nebraska I moved to the majestic mountains of Colorado, where I met my husband, Pete. Together, we embarked on our first careers and raised our children. In the late 1990s, we purchased a stunning sailboat named Mana Loa and embarked on a ten-year sailing adventure from Maine to South America, exploring every island in between. We ventured into the deepest jungles of Central America, dove on pristine reefs in the Caribbean, and reveled in the beauty of virgin beaches in paradise. I am incredibly fortunate to have experienced some of the world’s most breathtaking places, and I am constantly inspired to share my life experiences through my written and visual art.
